Medical student...with ADHD...and a creative mind...
We are building this website in the hopes that togther, WE can change the world!
This websites' aim is to bring free metnal health resources to everyone! We want to change the way mental health is viewed and treated, and believe we are the generation who can make that change.
If you have any ideas or resources, reach out to us and we can brainstorm and add things to this site! We want this site to be a safe place for anyone who is struggling to come to find hope, inspiration, connection, empathy and joy.
Take some time to explore the blog, read something interesting, and feel free to reach out if you would like to collaborate on a project together!
Side ideas: -building a free mental health app, an app to help manage emotional flashbacks, an ADHD app
Alice's Story: is rather long and convoluted. To keep it short, I have trauma - also known as complex ptsd, due to my childhood. I was also recently diagnosed with ADHD. Through my life I have been misdiagnosed with a myriad of conditions including depression, borderline, bipolar, cyclothymia, panic disorder, fibromyalgia and more.
I never felt understood by the healthcare profession, and that resulted in me losing all faith and trust in doctors and therapists.
Fast forward a few years, with many ups and downs, and I am on the path to healing. I want to become a doctor because I want to change the way that healthcare is provided, I want to change how patients are treated, I want to be the kind of doctor that actually listens to their patients. I want to build bridges and create a better world built on understanding and empathy. If you've read this far, I hope we can work together to make our visions of a better world come true :)
